It’s time for War on Drugs

It is time for Six Nations to declare a war on drugs. This past week one man was killed and a second sent to hospital after the feared drug fentanyl’s appearance at Six Nations became public. The drug is taking hundreds of lives nationwide and mayors across the country have already declared a crisis. It is time for all first nations to join the battle right in their communities, and not just with speeches. Dollars need to put where the fight is. Emergency personnel who are not equipped with specialized equipment to deal with crisis situations involving the suspected drug need to be equipped immediately. At Six Nations the local police force needs to launch a task force against drugs and do it now. And everyone in the community can…
