Competing for gold at volleyball tourney fundraiser By Neil Becker Sports Reporter A strong argument could be made that all 16 teams participating last Saturday in the Volleyball Tournament fundraiser are winners. Organized into a competitive and recreational division, this tournament, which had all proceeds going towards Sandy Jr. Porters upcoming four country hockey tour in Europe, was won by the Back That Pass-Up in the competitive division, along with Buck’s and Doe’s who prevailed in the recreational circuit. Though the games, which took place at Dajoh-Six Nations Youth and Elders Centre, were competitive, naturally the objective was to come together while sharing that strong passion for volleyball and help make Sandy’s trip, that takes place from March 9-20th in such places as Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland, a reality….
