Hawks Tootoo inks an extension

By Neil Becker Sports Reporter The Chicago Blackhawks made some recent news by officially re-signing veteran agitator Jordin Tootoo to a one year $700,000 contract. Tootoo, who is 34 years-old and a 2001 4th round and 98th overall Nashville Predators draft pick, became a Blackhawk last summer and with 21 penalty minutes in 36 games played, provided a huge physical impact. In his career this well respected veteran whose best season came in 2011/12 when as a Predator he scored 6 goals and 30 points, has also suited up for the Predators, Detroit Red Wings, New Jersey Devils and of course the Blackhawks where after 709 career games he has scored 63 goals, 95 assists and recorded 1,003 penalty minutes….
