Six Nations fair changes dates, looking for bail out on council loan

The Six Nations fair is turning 150 this year and has found itself engulfed in debt. The fair’s new board  approached Six Nations Band Council Tuesday night  (March 14) asking the council to consider waving the $35,000 loan the council made to the fair several years ago. The fair board also owes $10,000 to previous vendors. The fair has changed its executive with band councilor Mark Hill as president and Dakota Brant as vice president and Desmond Anderson as treasurer and says it has changed the dates of the fair to September 7-10 . Band council will consider the waiving of the $35,000 loan at its next Committee of the Whole meeting….
