Counterfeit $100 U.S. bills passed at various locations

Six Nations Police are warning merchants $100 counterfeit U.S. bills are being passed at Six Nations.

This past weekend Six Nations Police investigated four reports of a male passing or attempting to pass counterfeit $100.00 U.S. bills.

On Saturday, June 17th, 2017, the male purchased gas at Townline Variety using one of the counterfeit bills.

On Sunday, June 18th, 2017, the male passed a counterfeit $100.00 bill at Bear Paw Variety. He then attempted to pass another counterfeit bill at
Townline Variety but fled when police were called. The same male attended the Tim Horton’s in Ohsweken at 3 different times during the day. Each time he paid using a counterfeit $100.00 U.S. bill.
Police continue to investigate these incidents. Merchants are reminded to be cautious when presented with a U.S. bill of a $100.00 denomination.
