Splash pad area to get seating

By Chris Pimentel Writer The Human services committee is adding to the splash pad beside the community hall by providing shade and a place to sit. “Even on the day of the opening people were coming up to us and saying there was no place to sit.” said Elected Chief Ava Hill. A total of nine benches and one gazebo will now be added to the splash pad in order to give people a place to sit and get some shade. The gazebo will be donated by the Six Nations Economic Development Corporation according to Councillor Sherri Lynn-Pierce. “We’ve been getting complaints from people about no shade for the elders, so we thought that this could be a good solution.” said Councillor Sherri Lynn-Pierce.
