Haudenosaunee’s Womens World Cup

By Neil Becker Sports News Despite not coming home with gold, the 2017 FIL World Cup tournament still proved to be a huge accomplishment for the Haudenosaunee women’s national team. Though they lost that final game by an 18-17 score against Italy and finished in 12th out of 27 squads, the team had no trouble flying into the United Kingdom using Haudenosaunee passports. “To use my (our/Haudenosaunee) passport felt good in a sense because people still don’t recognize our passports and people,” Dana Isaacs who was on the team said. “We were able to use our passports only exception of using visas, which I’m grateful for because we’re making history one step at a time.” What makes this a great step forward was that back in 2010, the Iroquois Nationals…
