Ontario Arts council grants

The Woodland Cultural Centre has received a $57,210 Ontario Arts Council grant to support its arts programs. The grant, announced by Brant MPP Dave Levac, will be used to support the centre’s Aboriginal arts multi- and inter-arts projects. Grants also were announced to local artists. They include: Alicia Elliott, $12,000 for writers’ works in progress. Lorrie L. Gallant, $10,000 for Aboriginal arts projects. Summer Hill, $9,088 for Aboriginal artists in schools.Naomi Martin, $7,780 for Aboriginal artists in schools. Derek Martin, $7,150 for Aboriginal artists in schools.Leland Red Eagle, $7,000 for Aboriginal artists in schools. Shelley Niro, $6,250 for Ontario touring. Nelson Ball, $5,000 for writers’ reserve.
