The difference between today and the reclamation of 2006 is back then the struggle was about the land. The land is a simple concept that everyone, even the elected council got behind because it was simple; the land is ours to protect. The issue we are faced with today is causing us to take a real inward look at ourselves and ask: Who are the Six Nations People? Are we a Confederacy? Yes, but we are a Territory and too small to insinuate we represent the Whole. Are we an Indian band under the definition of the Indian Act?
