A Brantford Court has granted the Six Nations band Council and its corporation an injunction ordering everyone to stay off Six Nations community lands at the former Burtch correctional centre. The decision by Justice John Harper last week didn’t come as a surprise to anyone. Operating within the box of Canadian law Harper had only his own law books to turn to in deciding the land was given by Ontario to the corporation and so…everybody stay off, including Six Nations farmer Kris Hill who in good faith farmed the property on a Haudenosaunee Confederacy Chiefs Council lease.
