NLL Legend Cosmo announces retirement

By: Neil Becker Sports Reporter After an illustrious 17-year career, the National Lacrosse League’s all time saves leader Anthony Cosmo officially announced he’s calling it a career. Overall, it’s been an incredible ride for Cosmo who was drafted 15th overall way back in 1998 by the Rochester Knighthawks but didn’t officially come onto the NLL scene until three years later with the Toronto Rock. Cosmo, who retires with 7,222 career saves, played four years for the Rock and played a pivotal role in leading them to back to back championships in 2002 and 2003. From there the accolades kept coming as he was dealt to the San Jose Stealth where in 2007 his stellar play earned him 2007 Goaltender of the Year award and a spot on the All-Pro First…
