Six Nations woman seeks unity at band committee meeting

By: Chris Pimentel Writer Jacqueline House is a Six Nations community member who just wants her community to finally come together after a year of turmoil that was highlighted by the Burtch Lands dispute over the spring and summer months. She approached the Corporate and Emergency Services committee hoping to find answers on what happened at the Burtch Lands and who ultimately decided to place an injunction on Six Nations Farmer Kris Hill. However, she said after the meeting she was disheartened. “No they (the committee) did not answer any of my questions about the Burtch,” said House. “They are dividing this community based on their behaviour and actions,” said House.
