Mustangs take Brant County championship

By: Neil Becker Sports Reporter No doubt triumphally lifting the Brant County Senior Boys football championship trophy was an exhilarating moment that the jubilant B.C.I. Mustangs will never forget. “I’m speechless,” Mustangs player Holden Francis said moments after his team defeated the Assumption Lions by a 10-8 score at Kiwanis Field to capture the Brant Country Senior Boys football championship. Following the enthusiastic congratulatory handshakes and hugs with teammates and coaches, Francis upon reflecting on this latest team accomplishment replied, “This is my second championship win. With this one, I feel more part of the team.” Francis, went on to add, “We never gave up.
