SINGLE VEHICLE COLLISION SENDS FEMALE TO HOSPITAL

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment is investigating a single vehicle collision that resulted in a female being sent to hospital. The collision occurred on Highway 3 west of Marshagen Road in Dunnville, Haldimand County, Ontario.

On Wednesday November 8, 2017 at 9:24 a.m., OPP, Haldimand County Fire Services and Haldimand County paramedics responded to Highway 3 for a single vehicle collision where it was reported the female driver was injured. 

OPP investigation, thus far, has determined that a silver Hyundai sedan, being driven by a 40-year-old female from Welland, was travelling eastbound on Highway 3 when the vehicle left the roadway and collided with the eastbound ditch before coming to rest on  the front lawn of a property.

Haldimand County paramedics examined the female driver and transported her to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

There were no other occupants in the vehicle.

OPP continue to investigate and are asking if anyone had witnessed the collision or have any information to contact them at 1-888-310-1122.
