Hawks’ Hayden Smith scores in shutout win

By: Neil Becker Sports Reporter Things might be looking up for the streaking Hagersville Hawks who have now pulled off three wins and a tie in their past five games. Looking to get on a roll, Hagersville have in the past two weeks emerged victorious against Niagara by a 6-4 score followed by a 4-3 victory against Simcoe and following a 7-3 loss against Dunnville were followed by a 4-4 draw against Dundas and most recently a 3-0 shutout Sunday win against Simcoe. Hagersville, who have already defeated Simcoe in two of their first three regular season meetings got a late first period goal from Ralph Taggart which following a scoreless second saw the Hawks ice those crucial two points with an early third period goal from Hayden Smith which…
