Six Nations woman facing assault charges

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – A 21-year-old Six Nations woman is facing assault charges after an argument between two women escalated. Haldimand County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment were called to a Surrey Street address Thursday, Nov., 23rd at about 9:50 p.m. after a witness told police a female had been assaulted and suspect fled on foot.OPP said the argument escalated and one female approached another female with a weapon. Witnesses were able to get the weapon away from the suspect who then fled the area on foot. OPP located the female suspect a short distance away and arrested her. OPP said further investigation determined the woman was wanted by multiple local police services.
