By: Neil Becker Sports Reporter Nicco Montano’s name will always be part of UFC history as she recently accomplished that ultimate goal of becoming the first women’s flyweight champion. This southpaw who fights out of Albuquerque New Mexico and is of Navajo decent, officially got the belt after winning a unanimous five round decision on judge’s scores of 50-45 and 49-46 against Roxanne Modafferi. “I feel amazing, I’m so lost for words right now,” Montano said. “I can’t thank my coaches enough right now.” After the fight Montano, who is now 4-2 had high praise for her opponent as she commented, “I love Roxanne.
