Once again Philadelphia will have their Wings

By: Neil Becker Sports Reporter Though they won’t be debuting until next year, it was officially revealed that appropriately enough Philadelphia’s brand-new expansion team will be called Wings. Life can’t get much better for Philly lacrosse fans especially those who celebrated the previous Philadelphia Wings team who played from 1986-2014 and won six league titles before moving to New England. “The wings are clearly the favourite, and we’re happy to give the fans what they want,” Lindsey Masciangelo, the team’s executive director of business operations said. “Respecting the fans’ desire for the Wings name, we wanted the look to feel fresh, but also pay homage to the history of indoor lacrosse in Philadelphia.” Philadelphia has quite the history with indoor lacrosse as they were one of four original teams in…
