Student youth anthem says ‘I love you’ in French, English and Mohawk

KAHNAWAKE/CHATEAUGUAY, QUE- Students from a  Chateauguay, Que., elementary school    have produced a hit youth anthem, that incorporates English, French and Mohawk languages and has been seen more 16,000 times.

The music video, dubbed “Dreamchild,” was the creation of music teacher Caroline Bouchard,. She enlisted 10 students at St. Willibrord School  to write a script about their  personal hopes and dreams and recorded it to music producing a four-minute, 35-second video. The song incorporates all three languages and shows  scenes from the Mohawk community of Kahnawake where one-third of the students at the school live.The video has been seen more than 16,000 times since it was posted in late November. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau shared the video on Twitter, calling it a “beautiful way to celebrate diversity.”
