Disconnect with Basic Income Pilot leaves questions

By: Chris Pimentel Writer There appears to be a lack of communication between the Province of Ontario and Ontario Works in Six Nations regarding the new basic income strategy the province is implementing in the spring. Six Nations Director of Ontario Works, Sandy Porter told the human services committee meeting, they have had conversations with the province but have not heard a response back since late December. “They have not come back and said here is our response,” said Porter.
