Masters Indigenous Games around the corner

By: Neil Becker Sports Reporter History will be made in six short months with the inaugural Masters Indigenous Games competition. These upcoming games, which will be comprised of Indigenous adults from around the globe engaging in friendly sports competition against their peers will commence this year from July 12-15th with a large chunk of athletic events taking place at Downsview Park in Toronto. The Masters Indigenous Games, which was launched by the Aboriginal Sport and Wellness Council of Ontario serves the purpose to meet that competitive spirit of those who have aged out of competing in the NAIG competition. They will be functioning every two years in various communities and municipalities across Ontario.
