Juries…its about fairness

Six Nations will be watching the coming trial of a Binbrook man charged in the 2016 shooting of Jon Styres particularly closely when it hits a Hamilton courtroom later this year, after an all white jury acquitted Gerald Stanley a Saskatchewan farmer of fatally shooting 22 year-old Colten Boushie,a Cree man, simply because they didn’t believe he intended to kill him. The jurors also let him off on the lesser charge of manslaughter.
