Ontario wants changes to gas cards, fears gas quota coming

By: Chris Pimentel Writer The Ministry of Finance is looking into changing how drivers in Six Nations fill up their gas tanks. During a short meeting, lasting less than half an hour, the Six Nations Elected Council met with some of the gas station owners in Six Nations to share a letter from the Ministry of Finance outlining some of the changes with the Ontario Gas Card Program. The process began in the summer of 2016 when the Province of Ontario launched an engagement process, with First Nations communities, and industry stakeholders on how to modernize the process.
