Rebels: Giving that maximum effort at Inter-squad game

By Neil Becker Sports Reporter Though it doesn’t count for regular season points, there was still lots on the line during what was a highly competitive Six Nations Rebels intersquad game. Among the many players looking to make that strong lasting impression was goalie Doug Powless who was wearing the orange Rebels jersey during what was an up tempo affair which included a spirited fight in what was a 21-10 win for team black. “It was pretty competitive,” a sweaty Powless said afterwards. “The energy was high out there. I think I did pretty good.” Reflecting on what it would mean to make the Rebels, Powless, who made several strong saves replied, “My dad (Darcy) played for the Rebels.
