No Six Nations Skating Carnival

By Neil Becker Sports Reporter For the first time in approximately 42 years, there will be no Six Nations Skating Carnival. According to Six Nations Figure Skating Club president Sherry Lickers, it was decided at the beginning of the season due to being down a couple of coaches and having only about 50 skaters, to not put a carnival on this year. “A couple of parents were disappointed but we didn’t have the volunteers,” Lickers said. “There was a night where they got to skate and do routines for the parents which to their delight was followed by pizza and drinks.” Looking to the future, Lickers said that a couple of parents volunteered to get involved and that she will be contacting them in the summer time….
