By Neil Becker Sports Reporter Watching the opening Grand River Attack tryouts, you can see that they are serious about repeating. Coming off an emotional Provincial gold medal win against Whitby Rush, the Attack were all business during the first tryout session which didn’t go unnoticed by the coaching staff. “The coaches have been so impressed with the effort at tryouts,” Attack assistant coach Jace Martin said. “The intensity and focus. I noticed it started with our leaders like Linz Smith, last year’s leading goal scorer. Martin then went on to add, “She is pushing herself and helping to lead the offensive unit. When the new players see the leaders not taking a play off, preparing and arriving on time, it is a great example to learn from.” One of…
