McQueen scores three in Kawenni:io gold medal win

By: Neil Becker Sports Reporter It’s safe to say that Kawenni:io student Noah McQueen still gets that big thrill of capturing lacrosse gold. Showing that strong determination, last year’s champions, Kawnni:io, went undefeated which was capped by a three-goal performance by McQueen in a 7-2 Six Nations Districts school junior division championship win against OMSK. “It’s pretty exciting,” McQueen said. “We won last year. The Primaries (younger Kawenni:io team) won so we had to win this.” Seconds after being stopped on a breakaway McQueen once again made his presence known as he set up Nolo Squire with the opening goal.
