Nations Lacrosse Tournament is about fun

By: Neil Becker Sports Reporter Six Nations Intermediate/Jr girls goalie Maquoiia General was overcome with emotion upon receiving her gold medal. “This is my first gold medal,” General said. “This was all about having fun and making friends. I loved it.” General was talking about the inaugural Nations Lacrosse Tournament which saw her provide some steady goaltending in what was a gold medal 5-2 win against what was a tough All Nations team. “We lost our first game against All Nations by one,” General said. “Our team was really put together at the last minute and winning it is just crazy.” Approximately 20 teams from four different divisions, some travelling as far from Squamish who share that common bond of a strong passion for lacrosse, made history by competing on…
