HAMILTON-The jury in the Peter Khill trial has been sent home for the night.
After deliberating for over eight hours Tuesday night Judge Stephen Glithero sent the jury home for the night.
The jurors began deliberations Tuesday at 12:25 p.m. . They are deliberating on whether Khill is guilty of second-degree murder, guilty of manslaughter or not guilty in the shooting death of Six Nations man Jonathan Styres on Feb., 4, 2016 outside Khill’s Binbrook home.
Khill fire two shotgun blasts killing Styres who he testified he believed was stealing his truck and was armed with a gun. No gun was found on Styres.
The jury will begin again at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
