By Neil Becker Sports Reporter Having Canadian women’s Olympic hockey gold medalist Brigette Lacquette walk into OMSK school was definitely a thrilling impactful moment that these students won’t soon forget. Decked out in her Team Canada game jersey and proudly wearing her gold medal this defenceman who made history last February by knocking down barriers in becoming the very first, First Nations player, to participate on the women’s Olympic hockey team, gave an inspiring talk about her career and Olympics achievement while to the thrill of teachers and kids, passing around her collection of medals. “We worked with the ILA to get her here,” OMSK principal Travis Anderson said. “We like to inspire the kids and promote First Nations athletes.” Anderson went on to add, “A lot knew who she…
