Henhawk gets eviction notice

The Haudenosaunee Confederacy Council is sending a letter to the Six Nations Band trustees after Jeff Henhawk was serviced with an eviction notice recently. Henhawk has been living in a house on stilts on band land along Highway 6 for the past 12 years. The land had been purchased by the band several years ago with the plan of seeking Return to Reserve status. The band has been unable to obtain the status because they have not been able to remove all third party interests with Henhawk on the property. Twelve years ago Henhawk set up a cigarette ship along Highway Six or as it was known, Plank Road.
