SNEC evictions unfair

So. Here we are again. Six Nations Elected Council is about to follow through on its controversial Residency Bylaw and kick out a woman who has spent the past 19 years here raising her family. Jenn MacDonald is from St. Regis. Her matrilineal line is Mohawk. There is no question about that. And through no fault of her own the Mohawk woman’s documents as a Mohawk are not accepted by Canada’s Indigenous Affairs lists. So here we are with a Mohawk woman who came to Six Nations with her future husband 21 years ago and the two were married two years later. The couple got a housing loan years ago.
