In 2015, McKay competed in the pageant and was a finalist but this year, she says, will be different. Established in 2008, Miss Teenage Canada is the nation’s most recognised and accomplished teen competition of its kind. It is the official preliminary to Miss Teen Universe and last year’s winner, Emma Morrison, beat out more than 60 of her contemporaries for the honour. “This will be my second time competing for this honour,” McKay said, adding she is required to raise $400 for WE Charity.
