Proudly displaying those shiny gold medals were the Six Nations U-11 field lacrosse team who received quite a thunderous ovation. During intermission of the Six Nations Rebels game 5 playoff game, this team, coming off an emotional 6-5 championship win against Oshawa 2, got to parade around the ILA displaying their championship banner while many spectators not only clapped but also took pictures. “Excited,” was the word Kallyn Martin, who scored the winning goal used in how she felt about winning gold. When asked what she likes best about field lacrosse Martin was very honest in saying, “I don’t know.” Meanwhile scoring three goals in the win was Rayleigh Kicknosway who said, “It was pretty exciting.
