Always with a huge grin Johnson who was part of the Six Nations Rebels Founders Cup dynasty teams was always quick to tell a joke or be a good friend. In honoring Carney’s memory, the 4th Annual Carney Elijah Johnson 3 Pitch Memorial Tournament was recently played, which saw 49’z first baseman Ty Skye emerge with the eventual winning hit in what was a 7-5 championship win against the defending champions Sluggers. “This is more about fun. It’s all about having fun,” Carney’s brother Cody Johnson said.
