Ganohkwasra is turning 30, new building in sight

Ganohkwasra Family Assault Support Services is celebrating its 30-year anniversary Sept. 21 and director Sandra Montour says the shelter will host an adult-oriented gala event. Montour made her comments to the Human Services Committee at its Aug. 1 meeting, noting the gala’s purpose is to fundraise for a planned sexual assault building. “We’re celebrating our 30th anniversary with a gala and we’ll be holding it at the gathering place.
