GEDSB Indigenous enrolment up

By Taylor Burt Writer Six Nations students are back to school in higher attendance numbers. Approximately 500 students from Six Nations will be attending schools within the GEDSB this school year, compared to 481, according to the Grand Erie District School Board (GEDSB). The GEDSB has started moving forward on Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 “calls to action” urging all levels of government — federal, provincial, territorial and aboriginal — to work together to change policies and programs in a concerted effort to repair the harm caused by residential schools and move forward with reconciliation.
