Dan Montour makes Derby comeback By Neil Becker Sports Reporter Following a five-year absence Dan Montour was once again behind the wheel. This veteran derby driver, who won the 2013 Fall Fair Derby, was all smiles after finishing an impressive third place in this year’s Fall Fair Pro Stock Class. “It felt good, like I never stopped,” Montour said. “The track was good for a change. It’s usually wet and muddy.” Montour, who was driving a 2002 Crown Victoria, and prior to the five-year hiatus has been competing for about 25 years said with a laugh that the key to being successful in derby competition is, “Try not to get hit.” “I’ve just been busy, but yeah, I’ll be getting back at it,” he said.
