Brantford Atom Bisons showing steady improvements

By Neil Becker Sports Writer They may not have won but Brantford Bisons Atoms Tier 2 coach Jacobus Wagonneer liked the game play he saw. Minutes following a 60-38 defeat at Bisons Alumni North Park Sports Complex against Waterloo, an encouraged Wagonneer said, “We keep on improving with every practice. Last time we played Waterloo they beat us 34-6.” He added, “Next week we play Burlington who beat us 37-27. We’ll once again find out how much we have progressed.” The game saw Bisons’ Ehden Fawcett score five touchdowns, including a couple on 70 yard runs. Also showing tremendous improvement and enthusiasm was Kaleb Powless who scored an extra point on that first touchdown. “I like tackling,” Powless said. “The last game we weren’t tackling (as much) but more pushing.”…
