Cruiser hits ditch in chase

SIX NATIONS- A Six Nation Police cruiser crashed into a ditch on River Range Road in pursuit of a speeding truck Saturday. Police said they spotted a dark coloured truck speeding on Sixth Line near Oneida Road, Saturday, Sept., 29 at about 5:15 p.m. when they decided to follow the truck. In an attempt at catching up to the truck the police Ford Taurus cruiser slid into a hydro pole guide wire at the corner of Oneida Rd and River Range Road. Police lost sight of the fleeing truck, last seen on River Range Road.The police vehicle sustained front end damage as a result and was towed from the scene.
