Brantford police searching for robbery suspects

BRANTFORD-City police are investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store here Saturday October 6 at about 6:20 a.m.

Police said the Maple Convenience store at 373 Colborne Street, Brantford, was robbed by an armed suspect after a struggle with the clerk

that resulted in the clerk sustaining minor injuries. The armed man described as a heavy-set, short white male, wearing a grey zip-up hoodie with hood up (hoodie has black stitching on the seams and a kangaroo pouch), baggy grey jogging pants, grey baseball cap with white lettering, grey shoes and he had black gloves on, received an undisclosed amount of cash.
A second suspect acted as the lookout. He is described as much taller than the first suspect .  The second man is described as a tall, skinny, non- white male, in his 20’s with some facial hair. He was wearing a red Air Jordan hoodie with the black Jumpman logo on the left chest, jeans, and white running shoes. He had a dark piece of cloth sticking out of the right rear pocket of his jeans.
Both suspects were last seen southbound on Park Avenue.
For investigative reasons, police are withholding what type of weapon(s) was used .
Police are warning the public not to approached the suspects who are considered armed and dangerous.
