Aboriginal Hockey Players Making Waves In NHL

By Neil Becker Sports Writer Anaheim Ducks defenseman Brandon Montour took a bite out of the San Jose Sharks in NHL action last Thursday landing a tie breaking goal and adding to the Ducks eventual 5-2 win. Coming off a solid season which saw him score 32 points and a +16 rating Montour showed an offensive upside when he went around the Sharks defense before unleashing a backhand that resulted into a short side goal on Martin Jones. This win was a small measure of revenge for the Ducks who last spring suffered an early playoff exit by the Sharks in Western Conference playoffs competition. Meanwhile a motivated Carey Price is on the brink of rewriting history by becoming the all-time wins leader among goaltenders in Montreal Canadiens franchise history….
