Hawks grab three weekend points

By Neil Becker Sports Writer There is no underestimating the significance of this weekend’s three huge early season points for a struggling Hagersville Hawks team. Looking to get on a roll after recording one regulation win in their first seven games, the Hawks had a huge weekend and it couldn’t have come at a better time. The Hawks grabbed a well- earned point in a 3-2 overtime road loss against the undefeated Grimsby Peach Kings which a day later was followed up by a Saturday night 5-1 win against the Dunnville Mudcats. “This was a huge win for us,” Hawks veteran forward Hayden Smith said. “In the room, we feel like our record shouldn’t be what it is but we know we’re a good team.” Coming off that tough overtime…
