Search for man missing in Grand River continues

By Lindsay Newman Writer BRANTFORD -Brantford Police and Fire are still searching for a missing fisherman who was last seen on Sunday at the Grand River near Erie Avenue in Brantford. Police, underwater rescue, Brantford Fire and the OPP were seen by the Cockshutt Bridge and by the river on boats searching the riverbanks and using drones starting Monday afternoon. Police finished their search around 4:45 p.m. on Monday. At around noon on Sunday, police received a 911 call about a man in distress and being submerged underwater, police said in a statement. The man is described as being white, about 50 years old with grey hair. He was last seen wearing a toque and a lumber style jacket. Police continue to restrict access to the Grand River at Erie…
