By Neil Becker Sports Reporter It’s safe to say that there is no quit in the I.L. Thomas junior volleyball squad. Entering championship play needing consecutive wins to strike school junior volleyball gold, they showed tremendous resiliency when on November 14th they celebrated after posting what were suspenseful 25-18, 25-18 wins against Kawennio-IO. “I’ve never played volleyball,” I.L. Thomas Grade 6 student/athlete Layton MacDonald said. “I was nervous in that last game. I was nervous at the end.” Shortly after celebrating with teammates on The Dajoh floor a grinning MacDonald went on to add, “It’s nice to play with friends and my cousin (Sonny) and also to miss a day of school. I’m pretty excited.” Competing in what was a double knockout format tourney I.L. Thomas defeated a tough L.S.K….
