Assumptions’ Alexis Smoke dominating on volleyball court

By Neil Becker Sports Reporter After a year’s absence, Alexis Smoke has returned to doing what she loves…competing in school volleyball. Proudly wearing the Assumption Lions school colours Smoke, who played school volleyball in Grade 9 and 10 before taking a year off bbefore returning for her Grade 12 year said, “I like the bonding (of being on a team), and hanging out with friends.” Reflecting on what it would be like to end her school career by celebrating with her teammates a Senior girls OFSSA volleyball championship Smoke quickly smiled before replying, “That would be awesome. It would be a great memory. I would be so happy.” Looking to rebound after starting the regular season with consecutive losses the Senior Lions enjoyed the luxury of playing at home December…
