Oneida Woman Killed in Boxing Day Car Accident

The Ontario Provincial Police are asking for the public’s help as they investigate a car accident that claimed the life of a female resident of the Oneida Nation of the Thames. At approximately 6:15 am on Wednesday December 26th, a black pick-up truck being driven by 27-year-old Channon George collided with a bridge barrier in Middlesex Centre. The OPP believe that the vehicle inexplicably left the roadway of Southminister Bourne, between Westdel Bourne and Woodhull Road and struck the barrier. Channon George was pronounced dead at the scene while the passenger of the vehicle was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The OPP are asking for anyone with information, may have witnessed the accident or have dash cam footage of it, to contact Middlesex OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or 519-681-0300….
