New Blood Hightlights Brantford Mayor’s Levee

By Justin Lethbridge Writer Hundreds of area residents visited the Brantford Armoury to enjoy some free food and shake hands with the new mayor’s of Brantford and Brant among other local dignitaries at the Brantford Mayor’s Levee this weekend. The levee is hosted annually by the 56th Field Regiment. Six Nations Elected Chief Ava Hill was also in attendance for the event on Saturday and had kind words for the new Brantford Mayor Kevin Davis. “I just wanted to congratulate Mayor Davis, an old friend of mine,” Elected Chief Hill said. “I’m so glad to see he’s now the mayor, I look forward to working with him.” Elected Chief Hill also acknowledged the councillors who were elected as well as new Mayor of Brant David Bailey.
