New Minister of Indigenous Services:controversial record at Veteran’s Affairs

Seamus O’Regan    Minister of Indigenous Services   The new Minister of Indigenous Services comes to the portfolio with a checkered political record. Seamus Thomas Harris O’Regan is a former television personality from Newfoundland and Labrador. The former broadcaster replaced Jane Philpott as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau shuffled his cabinet Monday. O’Regan moved from veterans affairs . A reporter asked Trudeau if he hesitated to move “a white man” into the role of Minister of Indigenous Services. The PM said that he was confident that O’Regan would “fulfill the fundamental responsibility.” The shuffle was prompted by last week’s resignation of Scott Brison.
