By Neil Becker Sports Writer The Buffalo Sabres blue line got that much more dangerous with the acquisition of former Anaheim Ducks Brandon Montour. In getting a head start on the Monday, February 25th NHL trade deadline, Buffalo pulled the trigger a day earlier in getting the offensive minded Montour in exchange for another defenceman in Brendan Guhle, and their 2019 first round draft pick. “Brandon is a young, offensive-minded defenceman who can play the up-tempo style we are looking to play,” Sabres general manager Jason Botterill said. Montour, who was originally drafted second round by Anaheim in the 2014 draft has in his third season posted five goals and 25 points and a -16 in 62 games.
